This class is intended as an introductory training for business analysts and business managers on the capabilities of the OTPS (OpenText Process Suite) platform. In two days you will explore the platform by accomplishing the four phases of the “Closed Loop BPM Cycle” methodology to design and development a business process.
After completing this instructor led training, you will be able to model a business process with the graphical designer of the OTPS platform and have a good level of comprehension of how the model is made executable and how to monitor the process.
Specific outcomes of the training include the ability to:
- Analyse the business case and translate the case into a business process or case model.
- Relate to the technical efforts necessary to implement the modeled business process.
- Formulate the KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) to measure the performance of the process and convert these into the relevant components supported by the Business Activity Monitoring features of the platform.
The four phases of the “Closed Loop BPM Cycle” methodology are also used to structure this class:
- Qualify and Analyse
- Design and Model
- Develop and Deploy
- Run and Monitor
In fact, this is also a feedback loop, after making changes to the process, you can run and monitor and analyse the impact of your changes, which initiates a next iteration of the loop. Note that the Closed Loop BPM cycle looks very similar to the quality circle of Deming (Plan, Do, Check and Act).
